How to Become More Intuitive in 5 Easy Steps PDF Print E-mail

We’ve all heard of people who seem to be more intuitive than others.  People like Richard Branson and Donald Trump and countless others trust their intuition and base their decision making on what their "gut" tells them. And you may know of a number of people in  your life (including you) who are also gifted in this area.

Is the gift of intuition something people are born with or did they develop these skills?

When I was in my twenties I dearly wished that I had refined powers of intuition because I always seemed to be making bad decision after bad decision … the wrong choice in men, the wrong choice in career and so on.

I figured that when God handed out intuitive powers he certainly must have left me off the list.

The surprising thing was that (as I found out later) I actually have an acutely refined sense of intuition but back then, because of a lack of self-trust (or whatever), I was forever second-guessing myself.

Now, thankfully, I have gotten over all that and I now operate in harmony with my intuition.

If this sounds familiar, here are some things that I have learned over the years and here is how you can build your intuition.

First of all, let’s get this straight …

We are all intuitive. It’s just a matter of learning how to be in touch with it so we can recognize the signs when they happen.

Here are 5 steps to help you become more Intuitive:

1. Set very clear (crystal clear) goals for yourself

Be really clear on what you want to achieve in life. Know your outcome and the Universe will send all the opportunities you need your way … then it’s just a matter of recognizing them.

2. Asking for answers

Sometimes you may have a problem that you want help with. You can ask for guidance by thinking about the issue before you go to bed, (or during a meditation) and wait for your insight to come.  It may come in the form of a dream, or a word, image or feeling.  Learn to listen to these signs.

3. Being present

If you’re continually in your head worrying about what’s going to happen next week you’ll

miss all those intuitive signs that jump in front of you.

Instead, silence your mind and be fully aware of what is going on around you. I find that

meditation and third-eye development exercises are great for this.

4. Trusting yourself

Often our first reaction to something is our intuitive reaction, but so often we don't have enough trust in ourselves to act upon it. The more you practice acting upon your intuition, the better you will get and the more harmonious your life will be.

5. Develop an intuition yardstick

Keep a mental record of your intuitive decisions and know how they panned out. Which were on track and, with the ones that were off track, what made you run with them in the first place? And what can you learn from that? The more you understand how your intuition operates the more skilled you will become.

If you follow these steps, you will find that your life will flow more smoothly and decision-making will be much easier and much more enjoyable. In weeks to come we will be offering online and face-to-face courses that help you really get in touch with your intuition.
