If you’re like me and you love doing so many things, it can be difficult deciding on the right avenues to take that will maximise wealth opportunities, as well as fire your passions.
Or - even if you're doing something you love and for some reason you're just not making the kind of money that you want, perhaps you're in the wrong business or doing the wrong role in that business.
If any of these things sound like you make sure your eyes stay glued to this page.
About a year and a half ago I went through a really unique wealth-profiling exercise and since finding out what my wealth profile was and acting upon it, life for me has changed monumentally (for the better). I now spend the vast majority of my time "in the flow" doing things that I love doing and am great at doing, AND my income has increased substantially as a result.
After completing a special wealth profiling questionnaire I discovered that I was a “Creator” profile which means that my path to wealth is by developing new products and new businesses. I am “in my flow” when I am creating things. Mundane things like paperwork, systems, and team management are things I need to avoid and get others to do (YAY!!)
It often frustrates the heck out of my husband, Shane because here I am always “up in the clouds” saying, “Here’s a new idea for this and this and something else.” My mind often races at a million miles an hour pumping out idea after idea, and everyone in the office often finds it difficult to keep up.
On the other hand, Shane is a master at picking trends. He instinctively knows what is selling, what’s the next biggest thing to hit the market and he is great at reading people.
We soon discovered that Shane’s strength is as a “Trader” which means that his fastest path to wealth is by analysing trends and by buying and selling things (so Shane’s passion for internet strategy consulting, mail order and internet marketing in general are certainly on the right track).
So, what’s your path to wealth?
There are 8 paths to wealth in all and to give you more of an understanding of what these paths are, listen to Paul Dunn speak on these paths to wealth at the launch of the “Wholistic Business Network” in Brisbane on Thursday 23rd November. For more details click here.
In the meantime, here’s a brief snapshot of the wealth profiles …
Creators …
Creators are highly creative and are most at home when they have their head in the clouds coming up with new ideas. They are quick thinkers with a high amount of energy.
Stars …
Stars find their wealth by leveraging on their brand power. Stars are great at building their own personal brand. Stars can be found in any profession but you’ll often find them as speakers and actors.
Supporters …
Supporters are great with people as well as great at motivating a team. Some of the greatest leaders have been supporters.
Dealmakers …
As the name suggests Deal Makers are great at doing deals. They’re outgoing and they’re great at getting people together, developing relationships, arranging JVs and selling.
Traders …
Traders are masters at picking trends and at buying low and selling high. They are great in management, in operations, as share market traders, property trading, and in retail, operations or mail order.
Accumulators …
Accumulators are great at hanging on to money. When they invest safety is important to them. They rarely sell. They’d much prefer to achieve small, steady returns over a long period of time and hold on to property forever without selling (hence the name, accumulator).
Lords …
Lords are often rolling in money and have an uncanny ability to make money in a behind-the-scenes kind of way. They make their money by manipulating cash flow. Lords are typically investors in cash flow positive property or as landlords of apartment blocks to name but a few.
Mechanics …
Systems are the big thing for people who fit this profile. Their path to wealth is by creating a better system … typically by franchising a business and then selling the franchises.
Understanding my wealth profile has totally changed the way that I look at myself and also the way I do business. My income has increased dramatically and so has the passion for what I do. If you’d like to find out more about what your profile is, you can arrange your own test online. It's well worth the investment.
Once you do your profile you are also given the following information:
1. Details of your wealth profile
2. Role models who have the same wealth profile so you can tell which entrepreneurs you share the same traits with.
3. What your strengths and your weaknesses as a wealth creator
4. The best way for you to grow your wealth foundation
5. What is your moment of wealth creation
6. How to create the most value by following your profile ... and much more.
